Yadira, Can you Tell us a Little about Yourself?

How to be an entrepreneur Interview Yadira

Yadira

I am a 50 year old woman. I am a leader, pastor, life coach, public speaker, and entrepreneur. I have been through some of life’s toughest trials as a human being.

I was born in Colombia and raised in Ecuador. I now have the Belgian nationality and am happily living in Belgium. I had to provide for my 3 children as a single mother for several years.

In 2010, I was in a terrible car accident. During 4 months I went in and out of surgery, being told I would never walk again.

Despite all this, I kept believing I would walk again one day and, with a lot of effort, I did! I still go to therapy once a week and they say I will have to do this for the rest of my life.

I believe it is up to you to accept or not what people tell you. I walk because I did not accept the limitations that others set for me and I worked with conviction that I would walk again.

I think that this made a change in my life in a good way, because I found what I really wanted to do with my life: help others create balance in their lives, visualize their goals, inspire people, teach them to be better physically, mentally, and financially. This is how I defined my “Why”.

I encourage people to go forward and create their own opportunity by identifying their “Why”. I am able to help those who need to go through that process.

I am a very grateful person and I believe that friends and family can also help when possible. I received a lot of help from my mom and my stepdad who I prefer to call “dad”.

After 8 years of being at home with this disability, I started going out. I wanted more contact with the outside world, meet professional people and attend personal development events. I wanted to go out into the world again and keep growing, even though I still couldn’t work.

That’s when I had the opportunity to see Tony Robbins in London, in 2018. A life-changing event! Everyone should go! And I’m not just saying this because I am now part of the team. It REALLY changed my life!

When I went to this event I still had a lot of insecurities and fears inside of me. Even though I wanted to be my own boss, I was afraid to take that first step.

The first day of the event, I was scared and I thought to myself “What am I doing here? This is crazy! I am handicapped! I can barely stand up on my 2 feet without pain! And I am here to jump, scream and walk on what?? Fire?!! Dios mío!!” [giggle] Sorry that mean “my God” in Spanish!!

4 amazing days! It took only 4 amazing days for my mentality, fears, health, habits, and way of thinking to change my way of life. It transformed my life completely! Not only because of Tony Robbins. Also because I realized that I needed to make that change.

I came out of there completely who you see today. 8 months later I am my own boss. And not only for one but for a few businesses. And I’m also a life coach, helping people to find their “WHY” in life, an inspirational speaker and speaking to you today. Tony Robbins’s event “Unleash The Power Within” (UPW), really helped me to unleashed the power that I had inside of me to make that first step to make my dreams come true.

So I tell everyone today: go to UPW and make the changes you need to do in your personal life. Because at the end, that is going to help you make your dreams come true. It’s all up to you!!

Working from home as a life coach, speaker and entrepreneur has allowed me to share my gift with others: inspiring, engaging and building my community.  I know that it’s possible to follow my passion in ways that create a nice balance and sustainability in both private and professional life. A few years ago I met my partner and I enjoy the balance in life and harmony with him.

Can you Tell us about your Experience as an Entrepreneur?

Yadira

I love my job! I wake up every morning happy to go to the small corner in my home I call my office. I’m my own boss. I can work with no intimidation from anyone else, no timing, no obligations. I do what I want when I want. It’s just amazing!

Of course I have to be very persistent and have a lot of engagement and leverage if I want my business to flourish, otherwise this will not work. There has to be passion and action.

What I love the most is all the communication with the outside world even though I am in my office. The technology of today is amazing and I can do a lot of networking from my phone and my computer. I have met so many people from around the world and my meetings are from one side of the
continent to the other. I love it!!

Growing the business in network marketing is important and having a great connection with people is the key. I need to know how to approach my clients, talk with them and keep them happy and satisfied. I also need to give my team members the feeling that we are working hand in hand together to grow their own business.

When I wake up every day, I choose to make my day a beautiful day.  If it’s rainy/snowy/cold or if I have pain or a headache, it is up to ME to make it amazing. It’s all about habit. If I wake up upset my whole day will be a misery, but if I decide to wake up and make it fantastic, it WILL be fantastic.

I can’t tell you that everything in life is easy. Thank God! Otherwise, life would be so boring. Nobody would learn anything.

With the passing years and difficulties, I have learned to become a mature adult. I’ve been a Christian all my life and it has brought me a lot of wisdom and support. They say that as you grow older you get wiser, and it is very true. As an adult, I have learned that in difficult times I need to have faith and trust in God, be patient, take deep breaths and not get stressed or desperate.

Life is too short to suffer about small things. We tend to make our problems bigger than they are. We need to learn from every problem and use it as a motivation to make our goals and dreams come true. We can always do better next time, and not do the same mistake again.

I usually try to be a probem-solver. I stay calm, develop a plan, prioritize, talk about it, think about it in a positive way… If it didn’t come out as I wanted, it’s just because it was not the right time YET. The time will come. I just need to be patient and it will come soon. Not in my own time but in God’s time. And as He knows what I really want, it will happen!

What is your Entrepreneurial Work about?

Yadira:

I work in different areas. Yes, I know, I am a busy bee, like some people call me, but I need the variety.

One side of my business is about health, energy and performance. I help people with their health and energy, to move from being a toxic person to having a healthy body and mind (and weight loss too if they want), with amazing products. My goal is financial freedom.

Another side of my business is to help people relax, meditate, sleep better, manage stress, have power naps, or have a nice light therapy with the PSIO Glasses Technology. I became an Ambassador and make money sharing the glasses with people who need them.

I have a lot of will power and found the right people to work on my team. I believe I am a great leader and partner. I guide my team members, support them and encourage them, and, most important, we have lots of fun!!

What about the Money?

Yadira:

I believe that to start a good business I always have to invest something. I believe this gives me more motivation to work harder.

In my first business, I had to spend up to 250 euros and then I made that money back in no time because I really put in the effort to make my dreams come true to become financially free. I believe it only takes 2 steps to success and I only need to follow them. I take action and get the results I want and deserve!

My other business is a bit more expensive. I was able to pay in instalments and I made the money I invested back in no time.

What Final Words would you Like to Share with our Readers?

Yadira:

Believe in yourself. Make that first step to make your dreams come true. It is only up to you to make that change in your life. I know that changes are scary, but chasing your fears is also fun. You never know what you can find behind your fears. Maybe it is what you have always dreamed of. So go after them and dance with them.

DO IT NOW! Before it’s too late and your life is already gone doing things that you didn’t really want to do!! Make things happen! Make your dreams come true!

  2. Yadira seems like a really nice person and her experience as an entrepreneur is truly inspiring. It’s weird because, I had a feeling that it had something to do with Tony Robbins when I started reading your article, even though I didn’t know she was now part of the team.

Unleash The Power Within seems like such a powerful and wakening event. I’ll have to see that and save some money.

Some people say it even feels like a rock concert. And I believe them haha!

Anyway, thanks for capturing Yadira’s words. Very interesting.

  3. This is an excellent interview and definitely on the inspirational side. I think anyone who is struggling right now should read up on this, because it truly provides an amazing story of what life’s most difficult challenges look like, but with an ability to rise from the ashes even during the darkest, toughest times. Such an inspiring story.

  6. Awesome. I also want to go to Tony’s event especially UPW. It is great to see 1st hand experience from somebody who attended the event. It is good to watch the YouTube videos, and reading stuff, but to experience it alive must be totally different feeling. And really, to believe in yourself is very important aspect. I somehow came to a point where I did not believe in myself. but Fortunately I started to gain that trust In myself again. Also thanks to such articles. This is a great inspiring interview. I love it.
